Welcome to New York Integral (NYi)

Call it reality testing, the search for truth, or an empirical paradigm; we build internal maps when we’re looking for understanding of the universe and our place in it.  In one way, the Integral theory of everything is a simply elegant map of reality.  In another, this narrative can evoke a deepened perspective that lays nascent in our “emergent unconscious”.

New York Integral (NYi) is a non-profit (501)(c)(3) organization dedicated to furthering the work begun by philosopher of consciousness, Ken Wilber.  Our vision is to support personal, relationship, and professional growth, through workshops, classes, and consultations.  Our goal is to provide direct Integral experiences by which to teach and embody the Integral model, so that you can apply it to any area of your life.

Integral theory provides a dynamic map of lifelong human development that fosters personal, cultural, social, and global evolution.  It’s a map that addresses each of us where we are, moment to moment, in a deeper, larger context.

The practices that we provide are more than intellectual exercises. They serve to enrich and illuminate the often-complex Integral theoretical underpinnings in ways that can be applied to every career field, to our relationships both public and private, and to ourselves as conscious human beings.

The Integral Spiritual Mentor Program

2-year part-time professional training to assist self and others in the formation of personalized and changeable Integral Life Practices (ILP)

Identify and engage with one's leading growth edges through the ILP and learn the skills by which the ILP becomes the vehicle of spiritual growth, healing, and transformation

Experiential as well as sharing research-based findings, the program engages heart, body, and mind

At the end of the 2-year program, participants become a Certified Integral Spiritual Mentor

       The Integral Ordination Program
After the conclusion of the Integral Spiritual Mentor Program's two year curriculum, aspirants have the option of taking a third year that ends with an accredited Ordination as an Integral Minister

Ordination permits the exercise of full clerical rights to officiate at funerals, marriages, baby blessings, and other life rituals

The program is designed to accommodate those following traditional religious/spiritual paths and those who wish to co-create an Integral Spiritual path

This path springs from an Integral sangha-created lineage

The Introductory Course consists of 4 weekends monthly beginning Oct. 16 and 17, 2010
All those interested in either Program begin with this core course entitled
THE APPLICATION OF STATES AND STAGES TO EVOLUTIONARY SPIRITUALITY.

This course highlights the use of the Wilber-Combs Lattice in illustrating the development of two types of consciousness: that which develops in steps or stages, and that which is aware of what always-already exists.

We next explore the significance of the various vertical fulcrum changes that mark each stage shift, and identify their specific resistances and opportunities for spiritual transformation.
